By leveraging machine learning and computer vision it has become possible to accurately differentiate between crops and weeds.
Blue River Technology, which is now a part of John Deere, recently developed the 'See & Spray' technology.
This technology uses high-resolution cameras and AI algorithms to identify weeds among crops. This allows for precise herbicide application, reducing usage by up to 90% compared to traditional methods.
